t  The fault table is listed according to the V.A.G 5-digit fault code in the left-hand column.
t  Explanation of the fault types (e.g.: “Open circuit/short circuit to earth”): → Fault reader operating instructions
t  If components are indicated as faulty: First check the wiring and connectors to these components, as well as the earth connections, according to current flow diagram. This is particularly relevant if faults are listed as “occurring sporadically” (SP).
t  After eliminating all faults, clear the fault memory.

t  Faults in the lambda regulation are detected in the case of a brief incident in the system, e.g.: vacuum hose disconnected from servobrake.
t  However, the faults in mixture adaptation are detected through long-lasting alterations, e.g.: wear in certain components.
 Control limit exceeded   
 Regulation limit not reached
