Technical data of self-diagnosis

Implementation

t	The data transmission between the control unit and the -V.A.G 1551- or -V.A.G 1552- equipment is carried out in “Rapid data transmission” operative mode.

t	Fault memory: Permanent and volatile memories → Note

¹⁾	If the fault does not reappear after 50 engine starts it is erased from the memory

Interrogate control unit version

The control unit version is displayed when connecting fault reader -V.A.G 1551- or -V.A.G 1552- and selecting the engine electronics control unit → Chapter.

The prerequisites for selecting the desired functions can be determined from the following table.
