Read measured value blocks

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Fault reader -V.A.G 1551-

t	Cable -V.A.G 1551/3B-

Note!

The vehicle system tester -V.A.G 1552- can be used instead of the fault reader -V.A.G 1551-, although a printout will not be possible in such cases.

Checking conditions

l	Coolant temperature, 80°C, minimum

l	All electrical consumers, e.g. lights and rear window heating must be switched off

l	If the vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, this must be switched off

l	No faults should be stored in fault memory → Chapter.

Test sequence

–	Connect fault reader -V.A.G 1551- (V.A.G 1552) and select engine electronics control unit with the “address code” 01. When doing so the engine must be idling. (Fault reader: Connecting and selecting the engine electronics control unit → Chapter.)

Indicated on display:

–	Press keys 0 and 8 for the function “Read measured value block” and confirm entry with Q-key.

The display group number 001 is only an example to illustrate the sequence.

–	Press the keys 0, 0 and 1 for “Display group number 1” and confirm entry with the Q-key.

–	Press the →-key.

         1         2         3         4

Indicated on display:

–	Press keys 0 and 6 for the “End output” function and confirm entry with Q-key.

To change to another display group, proceed as follows:
