Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
t  Tray -VAS 6208-
t  Filling device for Haldex coupling 2 -VAS 6291-

Test prerequisites
l  Vehicle parked on level ground.
l  Rear final group oil specification → Spare parts catalogue.
Checking oil level
–  Position drip tray -VAS 6208- under final drive.
   
–  Remove bolt -1-.
The oil level is correct when the rear final drive is filled to the lower edge of the filler hole.
–  Screw in and tighten bolt -1-. Tightening torque: 15 Nm
Topping up oil:
–  Using charging device for Haldex coupling 2 -VAS 6291A-, fill up with oil until oil comes out between drive housing and adapter of charging device.
The oil for the final drive is available as a spare part → Spare parts catalogue.
–  Remove charging device and adapter; a certain amount of surplus oil may now come out.
The oil level is correct when the rear final drive is filled to the lower edge of the filler hole.

–  Screw in and tighten bolt -1-. Tightening torque: 15 Nm
