The left and right hand seals are replaced in the same manner.
–  Remove the cardan shaft → Running gear, shafts, steering; Rep. gr.42.
–  Place the drip tray -VAS 6208- under the final group.
Removal of flanged shaft, left hand side:
   
–  Place an M8 nut on the thread of the extractor -T10037--arrow- until it is flush with the start of the thread.
–  Remove the flanged shaft using the extractor -T10037 -.
Removal of flanged shaft right hand side:
  A39-10055
–  Place an M8 nut on the thread of the extractor -T10037--arrow- until it is flush with the start of the thread.
–  Remove the flanged shaft using the extractor -T10037 -.
Continuation for both sides:
  A39-10054
–  Extract the flanged shaft seal using the extractor set -VW 681-.
