1 - ABS control unit -J104-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
2 - Hydraulic units for the ABS. -N55-
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
3 - Brake line
q   From primary piston circuit of brake master cylinder to hydraulic unit.
q   Specifications: threaded pipe bolt M 10 x 1
4 - Brake line
q   From secondary piston circuit of brake master cylinder to hydraulic unit.
q   Specifications: threaded pipe bolt M 12 x 1
5 - Brake line
q   To the front left brake calliper
q   Specifications: threaded pipe bolt M 10 x 1
6 - Brake line
q   To the front right brake calliper
q   Specifications: threaded pipe bolt M 10 x 1
7 - Brake line
q   To the rear left brake calliper
q   Specifications: threaded pipe bolt M 12 x 1
8 - Brake line
q   To the rear right brake calliper
q   Specifications: threaded pipe bolt M 10 x 1
9 - Torx screw 5.5 Nm
q   Use new bolts.
10 - Bracket
11 - Hexagon bolt, 8 Nm
12 - Seal
q   For brake servo.
13 - Brake servo
q   In petrol engines the vacuum required is taken from the intake manifold.
q   In diesel engines the vacuum is obtained by a fitted vacuum pump → Chapter
q   Functional check:
–  With engine off, press the brake pedal hard several times (this reduces the existing vacuum in the servo brake).
–  Next, keep the brake pedal depressed halfway and start engine. If the brake servo is working correctly the brake pedal will give way notably (the brake servo effect is beginning)
q   If faulty, renew as a complete unit.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
14 - Sealing ring
15 - Brake master cylinder
q   Allocation: → Parts catalogue
q   Cannot be repaired. If faulty, renew as a complete unit.
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
16 - Hexagon nut, 25 Nm
q   Replace after each removal
17 - Seal cap
q   Moisten with brake fluid and place the brake fluid reservoir under pressure
18 - Brake fluid reservoir
19 - Plug
20 - Seal cap
q   Vacuum hose connection
