Removing and installing speed sensor on front axle

Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Torque wrench kit -SAT 8010-

Removal:

–	Raise the vehicle.

–	Disconnect connector -1- from revolutions sensor cable.

–	Remove bolt -2- from the wheel bearing casing.

–	Remove the ABS rev. sensor upwards.

Fitting

–	Before fitting the revolution sensor the inside surface of the opening must be cleaned and the sensor must be lubricated completely with → Parts catalogue.

–	Insert revolution sensor in opening in the steering knuckle and tighten bolt to 8 Nm.

–	Connect connector for revolution sensor.

–	Turn steering wheel fully in both directions and check that rev. sensor cable is able to move freely.
