General information on this ABS
General information on this ABS
The ABS brake system is divided diagonally. The servo-assistance is effected pneumatically, by the vacuum brake servo unit.
Models with ABS Mark 20 IE do not have a mechanical brake pressure regulator. Specially matched software in the control unit regulates the rear axle brake pressure distribution.
Malfunctions on ABS systems do not influence the brake system and servo. The conventional braking system remains functional even without ABS.
  Caution
A change in brake behaviour must be anticipated if the ABS system fails!
