–  Incline the hub and ball cage.
–  Expel the ball hub and cage from the joint in the direction of the arrow.
–  Remove the balls from the cage.
  Note
The ball hub and the casing are paired. Do not mix them up.

–  Remove the ball hub from the cage by tilting it on the friction track of the balls -arrows-.
–  Check the cage casing, the ball hub, the ball cage and the balls, searching for pitting and tracks.
  Note
If the turning play of the joint is excessive, banging will be heard when the load is inverted. In such cases, the joint should be replaced. Even if the balls have smooth areas or tracks, there is no reason to replace the joint.
