  WARNING
t  There are two versions of the twelve-point head bolt, with and without ribbing. Distinguishing features → Fig.
t  When installing the twelve-point bolt, always note which type of screw is used.
t  It must be tightened to the respective tightening torque.
t  The specified torque for twelve-point head bolts »with« ribbing is 70 Nm + 90° when loosening and tightening → Chapter.
t  The specified torque for twelve-point head bolts »without« ribbing is 200 Nm + 180° when loosening and tightening → Chapter.
17 - Wheel hub with wheel bearing
q   The ABS sensor ring is fitted in the wheel hub
q   removing and installing → Chapter
The wheel bearing and wheel hub are assembled in one housing.
This wheel bearing/hub unit is maintenance-free and has zero play. Adjusting and repair work is therefore not possible!
18 - Bolt.
q   10 Nm
q   Only wheel bearing housings made from aluminium are available as replacement parts. Therefore, certain parts have to be exchanged and/or installed in addition when replacing → Chapter
19 - Cover plate
q   Only wheel bearing housings made from aluminium are available as replacement parts. Therefore, certain parts have to be exchanged and/or installed in addition when replacing → Chapter

   
Distinctive features of the twelve-point head bolt with ribbing and the twelve-point head bolt without ribbing.
The twelve-point head bolts can be distinguished by the contact surfaces -arrow A- and -arrow B-.
