| If a radio/navigation unit from one vehicle is fitted into another vehicle, it is essential that the part number of the replacement unit is the same as that of the unit previously installed. Otherwise faults will occur in navigation because the steering angle sensor setting in the radio/navigation system will not be compatible with the vehicle. |

| If a radio/navigation system unit is renewed or exchanged then the replacement unit is coded for “with control unit for traffic information” If a vehicle does not have a control unit for traffic information then fault code “00481” will be issued. Therefore, in vehicles 06.00 ► recode the navigation system to “Without traffic information control unit”, ⇒ Adapting navigation system components → Chapter. In vehicles ► 05.00, the navigation system is adapted using the “adaptation” function, → Chapter. |
