Note If any of the above components are faulty, the entire combined steering column switch must be replaced. |
The spring for airbag/retractor ring with contact ring -F138- is fitted to the combined steering column switch in such a way that it can be loosened and replaced separately. → Chapter |
Note t
| To remove or install the spring for airbag/retractor ring with contact ring -F138- or the combined steering column switch, the steering wheel must be in the “central position” (wheels “straight”). |

| The spring for airbag/retractor ring with contact ring -F138- is not removed to disassemble or fit the combined steering column switch. |
t
| The spring for airbag/retractor ring with contact ring -F138- cannot be turned out of position. |

| If the steering angle sender -G85- is integrated into the spring for airbag / retractor ring with contact ring -F138- (vehicles with ESP), the basic adjustment of the steering wheel angle sender must be carried out after fitting the combined steering column switch. |
