Removing and installing voltage regulator - Valeo alternator from 2001 onwards
Removing and installing voltage regulator - Valeo alternator from 2001 onwards
   
Removal:
–  Remove alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
–  Disengage cover of rear part of alternator from studs -arrows-.

–  Unscrew bolts -1- and centre hex stud -2-.
–  Remove voltage regulator.

Installation
–  Remove protective cap -2- of voltage regulator -1- by pressing in -direction of arrow-.
–  When positioning voltage regulator, ensure carbon brushes are positioned correctly on contact surfaces.
–  Fit new protective cap with voltage regulator installed.
Further installation is carried out in the reverse order, note the following:
–  Install alternator → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
