Location of the port-1- for the iPOD -arrow-, in the glove compartment, in GI vehicles.
As an optional extra for the Ibiza 2002 you can individually request a support for the “iPOD” from the company “Apple”.
The company “Apple” supplies the “iPOD” in different versions. The support that is fitted in the vehicle is suitable for the following players:
t  classic “iPOD” of the third and fourth generation
t  the “iPOD” mini
t  the “iPOD” Photo
When you place the iPOD in the support, on the display of the radio/radio and navigation system you can view and select the content of the “iPOD”. The “iPOD” is supplied with power through the support.
You can use the radio to reproduce all audio data from the “iPOD”, nevertheless, you can not view photographs on the radio and navigation system display or view information about the files (tags ID3). In the display of the radio or radio and navigation system you can only view the number corresponding to the file (track xx).

The “iPOD” processes the files and sends them in analogue format to the radio or to the radio and navigation system.
To operate it, press the CD button on the radio -1-, to switch between reading the CD inserted in the audio unit and reading from the external “iPOD”.
When the audio unit is activated, the “iPOD” is also activated automatically when placed in the adaptor although it does not start to play. At this moment the audio unit recognises the “iPOD” as if it were a CD changer. While the audio unit is connected, the “iPOD” charges its battery through the interface.
When you turn off the audio unit, it cuts the power supply to the adaptor and it deactivates the “iPOD”
When connected at the CD position, only one element may be installed, the client must decide.
The configuration must be Radio CD Alana MP3 (4 speakers +iPOD + with/without AUX) and the coding 00403.
