Removing
Removing
–  With the ignition switched off disconnect battery earth strap.
  Note!
For vehicles fitted with a coded radio, first check the anti-theft code.
l  Remove the air filter, if fitted on the left of the engine bay:
–  Release the air temperature sender connector.
–  Remove the air filter vacuum hose.
–  Release the inlet manifold hose.
   
–  Remove the air filter securing bolts -arrows-.
–  Remove the air filter complete with the inlet hose.

–  Disconnect coolant fluid level sensor connector, if present -arrow 1-.
–  Separate the side cover of the coolant liquid reservoir pulling upwards.
–  Remove the coolant liquid resevoir -arrow 2- and place it on one side without forcing any of the hoses.
  Note!
t  Do not open the cooling system
t  When handling the brake fluid hoses, ensure that no liquid falls on the bodywork or on any other element

–  Pull off the return hose -A- that goes from the brake fluid deposit and seal it.
–  Remove clip -B- for the clutch pump pipe/hose by levering.
–  Remove all the pipework/hose -C- from the clutch pump and seal openings.
–  Remove the clutch pump securing bolts -D-.
–  Remove the shelf on driver's side: → General body repairs-assembly work, interior; Rep. Gr.68
–  Remove the cover from the footwell area: → General body repairs-assembly work, interior; Rep. Gr.70
–  Remove the main junction box from its fixing point and leave it hanging, moved aside.
–  Move aside any electric cables that are in the way.
  Note!
Do not separate the cables from their connectors nor remove the relays.

–  Remove lower part of the protective cover from the pedal assembly bracket To do so release from the upper part -arrow 2- and move down -arrow 1-.

Unblock the clutch pump actioning rod from the clutch pedal as follows:
–  Fit tool -T20059A- on the housing lugs -arrow-. Use the points -T20059A/1- of Ø 5.6 with diagonal milling, so that the longest point is on the right side of the pedal.
–  Press the housing lugs with tool -T20059A- and remove the rod from its housing outside the clutch pedal, pulling in the direction of movement.
–  Remove clutch pump from the engine bay.
