Removing
Removing
–  Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  Note!
For vehicles fitted with a coded radio, first check the anti-theft code.
   
–  Loosen nut and adjustment counter nut -arrow-.
–  Remove the clutch cable from its location on the clutch release lever.
–  Extract the rubber stop from its location in the gearbox casing.
–  Remove the shelf on driver's side: → General body repairs-assembly work, interior; Rep. Gr.68
–  Remove the cover from the footwell area: → General body repairs-assembly work, interior; Rep. Gr.70
–  Remove the main junction box from its fixing point and leave it hanging, moved aside.
–  Move aside any electric cables that are in the way.
  Note!
Do not separate the cables from their connectors nor remove the relays.

–  Remove the clutch pedal protective cover from the pedal assembly bracket (upper and lower part), as described below:
–  Separate the lower from the upper part -arrow 1-, having previously relesed it from the upper part -arrow 2-.
–  Disconnect the electric cables from the securing tie -arrow 3- in the pedal assembly bracket.
–  Separate the upper part of the bolt -arrow 4- from the transversal wall.
–  Relese the lug from the pedal assembly bracket with a screwdriver -arrow 5-.
–  Fold the upper cover down 90° towards the transversal wall -arrow 6-.
–  Relese the cable tie from the inside -arrow 7-.
–  Disconnect the electronic accelerator connector from its location-arrow 8-.

–  Cut the plastic tie securing the clutch cable to the pedal and release the cable -arrow-.

–  Release the clutch cable from its support -arrow- and remove.
