Installing gearbox
Installation is carried out in reverse order. Nevertheless, important steps are listed here:
   
–  Examine needle bearing in crankshaft. If it is damaged or tarnished blue, it must be renewed → Rep. gr.13.
–  If it is not damaged, grease lightly with high-temperature grease -G052133A2-.
–  End of gearbox shaft (but not splines) also must be lightly greased.
–  Check for proper seating of both dowel sleeves between engine and gearbox.
–  Check for proper seating of intermediate plate.

It must be possible to guide the engine and gear box together by hand until the flanges make contact all around.
If this is not so, then »something is wrong«!
–  Adjust the gearbox support until the engine and gearbox »align«.

Pay attention to selector lever cable when raising gearbox. Insert the cable into the support bracket as soon as possible.
Cable must not be greased!

–  Securing clips for selector lever cable must be renewed.
–  Adjusting the selector lever cable.
–  Check coolant level and top up if necessary → Rep. gr.19.
–  Check oil level and top up → Chapter.
