Additional safety precautions for head airbag
The head airbag is governed by the same safety regulations as the driver and passenger airbags, and should comply with the regulations indicated below:
l  Before fitting, visually inspect the linings for damage.
l  Any strut linings showing signs of damage should always be replaced and never repaired.
l  When fitting, check that the linings are firmly fixed.
l  If repairs are made behind the Head airbag, always remove the complete head airbag unit (do not partially release or bend it)
l  Head airbag units which have been removed should be placed in the container provided for transport or on a clean flat surface.
l  After repairing the bodywork in the area of the head airbag, check bodywork for splashes from welding, deformation and dents (if necessary, compare with the opposite side).
l  Always keep the head airbag safe, holding it with one hand on the gas generator.
l  Never turn, twist, knot, throw, fling, pull, hang, squash, press, staple or squeeze the head airbag.
l  In the event that the material is soiled by oil, grease, paint or solvents, for example, the head airbag must be replaced.
l  The head airbag should never be exposed to temperatures above 100 °C, for however short a period.
l  In the event of any type of collision, the seat belts should be checked → Chapter.
