  WARNING
t  Observe the safety precautions for working on airbags → Chapter.
t  Before handling airbag units (for example to attach the connector), the person concerned must „discharge static“, for example by briefly grasping hold of door striker plate.
–  Remove front seat → Chapter.
–  Clamp the seat in the bracket for the seat repair -T20172/5-.
–  Remove backrest (front) → Chapter.
–  Remove seat shell cover and padding → Chapter.
–  Remove cable ties -1- (4x).
–  Disengage the spring mat -3- at the locations marked -2- (2x).
–  Disengage the spring mat -3- at the locations marked -4- (4x).
–  Unplug connectors -5- (3x).
–  Disconnect check connector from belt buckle.
–  Loosen bolt -5-.
–  Detach spring mat with wiring harness -3-.
