Test conditions

 
N19-0329
  • ● → The main fuses must be OK.
  • ● Radiator fan thermo switch (F18) OK.

Test sequence

  • ‒ Remove noise insulation tray.
  • ‒ Pull 3 pin connector off radiator fan thermo switch (F18).

 
N19-0316
  • ‒ → Bridge contact -1- and contact -2- of connector using adapter cables from V.A.G 1594 A.
        1st speed of radiator fans (V7) and (V35) must begin to run.
  • ‒ Bridge contact -2- and contact -3- of connector with auxiliary cables from V.A.G 1594 A.
        2nd speed of radiator fans (V7) and (V35) must begin to run.

If 1st or 2nd speeds of fans do not run:

  • ‒ Locate and rectify open circuit using current flow diagram:

=> Current flow diagrams, Electrical fault finding and Fitting locations

If no wiring fault is detected:

  • ‒ Renew radiator fan (V7) or (V35).
