Left side diffuser: removal and refitting
  Note!
t  Remember that the pieces must be kept clean, and take care not to scratch them either when repairing or refitting them.
t  Before carrying out any work on the electrical system, always disconnect the tape from the battery earth connection.
t  Before removal, check the code number of the radio apparatus.
t  If you reconnect the battery again, always check the vehicle fittings (radio, clock, electric windows) in accordance with the Repairs Manual and/or the Instruction Manual
Removal
–  To remove the right side diffuser, remove the glove compartment on the passenger side. → Interior refitting jobs on the body; Rep. Gr.68
   
–  Put your hand in through the glove compartment. Move the diffuser to the interior of the panel, while at the same time pulling the diffuser downwards until the retractable anchorings unhook from the top of the diffuser.
Push the blower part of the air guide inwards, thus freeing the diffuser.
Fitting
–  First of all, place the diffuser into the air guide. It should be fitted by following the instructions for the previous procedure in reverse order.
–  Remember that when placing the regulating wheel in its housing, it should not be forced or it could come loose from its sleeve.
Left side diffuser: removal and refitting

t  Before carrying out any work on the electrical system, always disconnect the tape to the battery earth connection.
Removal
–  To remove the left side diffuser, remove the dashboard shelf on the driver's side. → Interior refitting jobs on the body; Rep. Gr.68.
–  Removal of light switch. → Interior lights and switches; Rep. Gr.96
–  Put your hand through the dashboard shelf on the driver's side.

–  Move the diffuser to the interior of the panel, while at the same time pulling the diffuser downwards until the retractable anchorings unhook from the top of the diffuser.
–  Push the blower part of the air guide inwards, thus freeing the diffuser.
Observations:

t  There is an added difficulty with the left diffuser - the panel stiffener has to be pushed back -arrow-.
Fitting

Removal
  E87-0047
–  Remove the operating and indicating unit -E87- with the -J255- control unit for Heating and Air conditioning, -1-. → Rep. Gr.87
–  Remove the radio from its housing and its electrical connections -4-.
→ Radio: removal and refitting; Rep. Gr.91
–  Remove all the central switches and the dashboard shelf box -2-. → Interior lights, lamps and switches; Instrument panel switch, central part: removal and refitting; Rep. Gr.96

–  Remove the upper screws -1- from the radio bracket to the switch guide -3-.
–  Remove the bracket guide for the switches -2- to the panel, moving it towards the right -arrow-, and remove it, towards the vehicle interior -arrow-.

–  Move the diffuser to the interior of the panel, while at the same time pulling the diffuser downwards until the retractable anchorings unhook from the top of the diffuser.
Fitting
