t  The expansion valve controls the flow and atomizes the refrigerant as it passes through, such that the vapour does not turn into gas until it leaves the evaporator, according to its heat content.
   
1 - Seal between evaporator housing and bulkhead
q   The refrigerant circuit does not need have to be opened
2 - O ring
q   11.10 mm; 1.78 mm
3 - Expansion valve
q   The pass through must be sealed from splashing water
q   Detaching and attaching → Chapter
4 - O ring
q   10.8 mm; 1.82 mm
5 - Refrigerant piping
q   From the desiccant filter reservoir to the expansion valve
6 - Refrigerant hose
q   From the expansion valve to the air conditioning compressor
7 - Combination cylindrical bolt
q   Tightening torque: 5 Nm
8 - Bolts
q   Tightening torque: 12 Nm
q   2 units
9 - O ring
q   14.30 mm; 2.40 mm
10 - O ring
q   17.17 mm; 1.78 mm
