  Note
t  Depending on the vehicle version, there are different types of condensers → Parts catalogue.
t  Depending on the engine and vehicle model, the removal of different components may be necessary → Engine, mechanics; Rep. gr.13.
t  Component locations of the High pressure sender -G65- differ depending on the engine fitted; for vehicles with 2.0 litre diesel engine the High pressure sender -G65- for example, is not fitted on the refrigerant tube from the expansion valve to the condenser; it is fitted instead to the tube from the compressor to the condenser.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Venting device for the air conditioner -SAT 4006D-
Removal:
–  Empty the refrigerant circuit → Air conditioning - with refrigerant R134a SEAT.
–  Remove the sound proofing → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. gr.50.

–  Remove the connector -A- from the high pressure sender -B-.

–  Remove bolts -A- (tightening torque 12 Nm).
–  Detach refrigerant pipes -B- and -C- from condenser.
  Note
Seal open pipes and connections at compressor with suitable conical caps from the kit -T20017A- (to prevent penetration of dirt and moisture).
Installation
Attach in reverse order; note the following:
–  Replace all O-ring seals -D- and -E-. Version → Parts catalogue.
–  Check the fastener -G- (not fitted to all junctions) and the sleeve -H- for correct seating and damage.
  Note
t  Coat O-rings lightly with refrigerant oil before fitting → Chapter.

t  Ensure that the O-ring seals seat correctly into the groove -F- in the tubes of the refrigerant agent.
–  After attaching, check routing of refrigerant lines. They must be inserted in brackets provided and should not make contact with other components.
–  Empty the refrigerant circuit and refill it → Air conditioning - with refrigerant R134a SEAT.
