Installation overview

Union elements of the air conditioning unit in → Fig.
1 - Wiring harness for the air conditioning unit
q   To remove it, carefully cut the cable tie.
q   When assembling, use a new cable tie in the same place.
2 - Upper section of the evaporator housing
q   Joint between upper and lower sections with screws and with staples on → Fig.
3 - Support
q   Threaded union in the module bracket and in the heating unit; 12 Nm
q   Torque for the air conditioning unit: 5 Nm
4 - Preliminary resistance for the fresh air fan -N24-
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
5 - Foam rubber gasket
q   Replace if it has defects.
q   Self-adhesive
q   Stuck to the evaporator housing
q   Before assembly, remove all traces of adhesive with acetone.
6 - Expansion valve
q   Assembly overview → Chapter
7 - Housing air inlet
q   With fresh air and air recirculation flap
q   Fixed on the upper and lower sections of the housing with staples in → Fig.
8 - Gasket
q   Replace if it has defects.
q   Self-adhesive
q   Before assembly, remove all traces of adhesive with acetone.
9 - Dust and pollen filter
q   Also as a combined filter with the odour filter
10 - Regulating motor for the fresh air and circulation air intake flap-V154-
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
q   Fit it into the support
11 - Support
q   Regulating motor for the fresh air and circulation air flap -V154-
12 - Fresh-air fan -V2-
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
13 - Support for the fresh air fan -V2-
q   Remove the support for the fresh air fan → Chapter
14 - Lower section of the evaporator housing
q   Join lower-upper sections with bolts and with staples → Fig.

16 - Distributor housing, lower section
17 - Heating element for the secondary heating (PTC) -Z35-
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
18 - Heat exchanger
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
19 - Air distribution flap control unit
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
20 - Gasket for evaporator
q   Note the installation position: The water outlets must face downwards.
21 - Evaporator
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter
22 - Distributor housing, upper section
q   In the upper and lower sections of the evaporator housing
23 - Left support
q   Threaded union in the module bracket, air conditioning unit and central console support; 12 Nm
q   Torque for the air conditioning unit: 5 Nm
q   Torque for central console support: 12 Nm
24 - Support
q   for the regulating motor for temperature flap -V68-.
25 - Regulating motor for temperature flap -V68-
q   Removing and fitting → Chapter

1 - Screw for plastic; 1 Nm
2 - Staple
t  Before disassembling, mark the position and direction of the housing.
t  Replace if it has defects.
t  During assembly, ensure the hook of the staple fits with the housing groove.
