| Wait for the moment when the clutch release lever cannot be moved in the opposite direction to actioning before setting up the clutch cable adjustment mechanism |
| If the adjustment mechanism cannot be checked as described in page 30-5, it may be out of service due to mistreatment (e.g. if it has been connected to the clutch release lever too tense). |
| Symptom: The clutch release lever on the gearbox connot move in the opposite direction to actioning even after pushing the pedal several times. |
| A non-functioning adjustment mechanism makes the clutch drag and thus wear prematurely. |
