Removal
  Note!
If the belt is to be re-used, the direction of rotation must be marked before removing it. This mark must be taken into account when installing.
Vehicles with tensioning roller for Poly-V belt
   
–  Position the -U-40010- tool on the Poly-V belt tensioning roller.
–  Loosen the belt by pressing on the tool.
–  Separate the Poly-V belt from its fixing to the alternator pulley.
Vehicles without tensioning roller
–  Loosen the alternator securing bolts by a minimum of one turn.

–  Position the -U-40050- tool, and action the tool with a spanner, until the tensioning spring frees.
–  Once loosened, remove the Poly-V belt from its fixing to the engine (it is advisable to first detach it from the coolant pump pulley).

–  Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the central insulation.
–  Remove the trapazoidal belt for the power assisted steering vane pump.

–  Release securing bolts from -2- to -6-.
–  Action the tensioning nut -1- and remove the trapezoidal belt.
–  Remove the Poly-V belt.
