Cooling system, body side - Assembly overview
1 - Radiator
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
q   Renew coolant after replacing cylinder head gasket
2 - O ring
q   replace
3 - Upper coolant hose
q   is fixed to the radiator with a clamp
q   Check that it is seated securely
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter.
4 - Cowling
5 - 10 Nm
6 - Auxiliary fan
q   In vehicles with optional equipment
q   Check the radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan, right side -V35- → Chapter
7 - Retaining clip
q   Check that it is seated securely
8 - Support
q   For the electric ventilator
9 - Electric connector
10 - Radiator fan
q   Check the radiator fan -V7- and radiator fan, right side -V35- → Chapter
11 - To the coolant pump
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter.
12 - Expansion tank
q   Verification of the cooling system seal: check with the coolant system tester -SAT 1274- and adapter -VAG 1274/8- → Chapter .
13 - Sealing cap
q   Check the pressure relief valve in the plug using the cooling system tester -SAT 1274- and the adapter -VAG 1274/9- → Chapter
14 - Support
q   To connect to fan terminal
15 - Lower coolant hose
q   is fixed to the radiator with a clamp
q   Check that it is seated securely
q   Coolant hose schematic diagram → Chapter.
16 - Radiator fan thermal switch -F18-, 35 Nm
q   For the electric ventilator
q   Switching temperatures:
t  1. st gear engaged: 92... 97 ℃, Switched off 84... 91 ℃
t  2. nd gear engaged: 99...105 °C, Switched off 91... 98 ℃
17 - Support
q   For radiator
q   Note fitting position:
q   Note the different versions
18 - 15 Nm
