Lubrication system removing and installing
1 - 0,3 … 00,6 bar oil pressure switch -F1-, 25 Nm
q   Checking → Chapter
q   In case of leaking, nip open and replace the o-ring
2 - Guide tube
3 - Selftapping bolt, 3 Nm
q   Maximum revolutions of power tool: 200/min
q   Connection to intake manifold
4 - Cap
q   Replace the gasket if damaged or worn
5 - Funnel
q   Remove to extract oil by absorption
6 - Dipstick
q   The oil level must not go above the max. mark!
q   Marks → Fig.
7 - Camshaft sprocket
q   Note position when installing the toothed belt → Chapter
8 - To intake manifold
9 - Oil filter
q   Loosen on the hexagon, using turning tool -U-40078- or a universal filter extractor
q   Tighten by hand
q   Note instructions on filter when installing
10 - Gasket
q   Renew
q   Must be located on adjusting sleeves
11 - Tensioning roller
q   Checking → Chapter
q   Toothed belt: removing, installing and tensioning → Chapter
12 - 20 Nm
13 - Toothed belt
q   Mark D.O.R. before removing
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
q   Separating and fitting, tensionin → Chapter
14 - Upper toothed belt guard
15 - Lower toothed belt guard
16 - Pulley
q   When installing note fixing arrangement
q   Toothed belt: removing, installing and tensioning → Chapter
q   Ribbed belt: Separating and fitting → Chapter
17 - 90 Nm + 1/4 turn (90 °)
q   Renew
q   Use counter-hold tool -T20018A- to loosen or tighten
q   Tightening can be done in several stages
18 - Toothed belt sprocket- crankshaft
q   Note position when installing the toothed belt → Chapter
19 - 10 Nm
20 - Oil seal
q   Renew → Chapter
21 - 10 Nm
22 - Sealing flange/oil pump
q   Always renew the assembly
q   Must be located on adjusting sleeves
q   When fitting, note drive element on crankshaft, item → Item
q   Oil pump: removing and fitting → Chapter
23 - Gasket
q   Renew
24 - 10 Nm
25 - Suction pipe
q   Clean filter if soiled
26 - Drive element
q   Coat with oil before installing oil pump
27 - 10 Nm + 1/4 turn (90 °)
q   Renew
q   Remove sump/engine block distribution side bolts (4 bolts) via the interior part of the oil sump
28 - 15 Nm
29 - Oil sump cover
q   Separate and fit → Chapter
q   Clean sealing surface before installing
q   Fit with silicone sealant -D 176 404 A2- → Chapter
30 - Oil drain screw, 30 Nm
q   With attached seal
q   Renew
31 - Oil sump
q   In two parts
q   Separate and fit → Chapter
q   To remove and fit, remove oil sump cover
q   Clean sealing surface before installing
q   Fit with silicone sealant -D 176 404 A2- → Chapter
32 - 10 Nm + 1/4 turn (90 °)
q   Renew
33 - O-ring
q   Replace if damaged or worn
34 - Oil deflector
35 - Toward air filter

   
Markings on oil dipstick
1 - Max. mark
2 - Min. mark
a - Area above hatched field up to max. mark: do not top up oil
b - Oil level within hatched field: oil may be topped up
c - Area from min. mark up to hatched field: top up with a maximum of 0.5 l of oil
