Removing
–  Remove the toothed belt → Chapter ; Toothed belt: removing, installing and tensioning.
   
–  Position crankshaft at TDC cylinder 1 -arrow-.
  Note
Do not mix up the existing marks on the sealing holder cover/fuel pump. The tooth ground down must coincide with the mark 2V.

–  Turn crankshaft/toothed belt sprocket three teeth anticlockwise away from TDC:
The third tooth -arrow- on the right of the ground down tooth -A- must coincide with the TDC (2V) mark on the oil pump casing.
  Note
This procedure moves the crankshaft to the correct installation position for oil pump assembly. One of the polygon cams on the crankshaft is uppermost.

–  Remove crankshaft toothed belt sprocket by locking with counter-hold -T20018A-.
–  Remove tensioning roller of the toothed belt.
–  Remove oil sump → Chapter.
–  Remove intake pipes → Item.
–  Remove the sealing flange/oil pump.
–  Remove gasket.
–  Remove sealant remnants on cylinder block with a flat scraper.
–  Clean the sealing surfaces, that must be oil- and grease-free.
