l  Engine must be cold
–  Loosen the screw joint of the double clamp between the catalytic converter and the intermediate silencer.
   
–  Place the double clamp at a distance -a- = 5 mm from the mark on the catalytic converter pipe and tighten the front screw connection slightly.

–  Insert the exhaust silencer in the double clamp until the dimension -a- 15 ... 17 mm has been achieved between the suspension / bodywork and the suspension / rear silencer. -Arrow- points in direction of travel.
–  Adjust the horizontal position of the silencer.
–  In this position, tighten the bolts of the double clamp. Tightening torque: 25 Nm.
–  Once bolts have been tightened, check distance -a- and correct if necessary.
