Cooling system: checking for leaks > < Removing and installing radiator
Removing and installing electrical radiator fanV7 and radiator fan -2-V177

Removing
–  Place the lock carrier plate into service position → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. gr.50
   
–  Remove connecting hose on »hot side« from charge air pipe. To do so, release the hose clamps -1-.

–  Unplug electrical connection -1- from the radiator fan -V7-.
  Note
Disregard item -2-.

–  Unscrew the fixing screws -arrows- of the air intake unit -1-and remove the connecting hose -2- to the air filter.

–  Unscrew the bolts -1- that fasten the radiator to the lock carrier plate.
–  Release the unit from the condenser, coolant chiller and charged air cooler upwards from their bracket on the lock carrier.

–  Press the upper locking elements -1- on both sides to remove the air duct from the radiator. Take the duct out upwards -arrow-.
–  Remove air vent downwards.
Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Insert the locking element of the air duct of the radiator correctly.
–  Install the hose for the air filter.
–  Place the lock carrier plate into service position → Bodywork, exterior fitting work; Rep. gr.50
