Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Oil pressure tester -VAG 1342-, see equivalent → Anchor
Operation process
l  Oil level okay → Chapter.
l  Engine oil temperature: approx 80 ℃.
–  Remove the oil pressure switch -F1- → Chapter.
–  Attach the oil pressure tester -VAG 1342- to the borehole for the oil pressure switch -F1-.
–  Screw in the oil pressure switch for sealing into the oil pressure tester -VAG 1342-.
–  Start engine.
l  Oil pressure at engine idle: minimum 0.8 bar.
l  Increase engine speed further. At 2,000 rpm and an oil temperature of 80 °C the oil pressure should be at least 1.5 bar.
At higher engine speeds, the oil pressure must not exceed 5.0 bar. If oil pressure exceeds 5.0 bar:
–  Replace the oil pump.
