Removing
–  Remove poly V-belt → Chapter.

–  Loosen the pipe clamp -arrow- and remove the air intake pipe from the charge air cooler.

–  Loosen the engine cover at the locations -arrows- and remove.

–  Remove the coolant hoses -1- and -4- of the expansion tank.
–  Disconnect fuel supply pipe -3- and fuel return pipe -2-, pressing on the release tabs for this purpose.

–  Disconnect electrical connector -2- at pressure differential sender -G505-.
–  Remove bolt -3- from pressure differential sender -G505- bracket.
–  Lay pressure differential sender -G505- down with wires connected to rear.

–  Disconnect the line from the fuel filter -1- and -2-, press the release tabs for this purpose.

–  Remove the fuel line with attached bracket upwards from the guide of the coolant expansion reservoir.

–  Remove the cartridge of the fuel filter upwards from the bottom part.
–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows-, and remove the bottom part of the fuel filter.
–  Hang out the protective element made of foam on both front wings using the lever -80 200-.

–  Remove the vacuum line -1- from the vacuum pump -2-.
  Note
Ignore the -arrows-.

–  Remove the vacuum line between the vacuum pump and the servo brake -arrow-.

–  For this purpose, remove the vacuum line -arrow 1- from the bracket on the cylinder head.
The pre-heating line -arrow 2- is not fitted in all vehicles (depending on the version).

–  Fit the mount -10 222A- with the necessary adapters and attach as shown in the figure, and retain the motor in its fitting position.
  Note
When removing the bearing, the engine must be secured using the mount -10 222A-.

–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows- of the engine mounting of the engine assembly. The nut -2- must not be slackened.
–  Carefully lower the engine (on the control side) until you can recognise if the clamping element is exposed.

–  Unscrew the securing bolts -arrows- from the charge air pipe and disconnect connector -1- from charge air pressure sender -G31-.
–  Open clamp -2-, place coolant hose -3- clear and remove the charge air pipe.

–  Unscrew the bolts -2- and remove the tensioning element -1-.
Fitting
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removing, when doing this note the following.
  Note
Replace the bolts of the tensioning element.

–  Install the engine bracket and screw in the bolts by hand. Secure with new bolts. The nut -arrow- must not be slackened → Chapter.
  Note
Attach the earth wire correctly.
t  Renew bolt for tensioning element
t  Tightening torques of the system from the Poly-V belt and tensioning element → Chapter
t  Specified torques for assembly mountings → Chapter
t  Install poly V-belt → Chapter.
