Coolant pump: Installing and removing:

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Recipient tray -T20173-, see equivalent → Anchor

t	Pliers -T20174- or pliers -T20029-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing

Note

First replace seals and gaskets.

–	Drain coolant → Chapter

–	Remove toothed belt → Chapter.

–	Unscrew the attachment bolts -1- from the coolant pump -2- and take out the liquid coolant pump very carefully.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Replace the O-ring 2.

–	Clean or smoothen the contact surface for O-ring.

–	Moisten new O-ring -3- with coolant.

–	Fit the cooling liquid pump -2- to the engine block and tighten the attachment bolts -1- to a torque of 15 Nm.

Note

The seal plug for the coolant pump points downwards.

–	Notched belt, fitting, tensioning → Chapter.

–	Fill up coolant → Chapter.
