  WARNING
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to the cramped conditions:
All the various lines (e.g. fuel, hydraulic system, active carbon filter system, coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid and vacuum pipes and hoses) and electrical wiring must be installed in their original positions.
Ensure sufficient clearance for all moving or hot components.
  Note
t  When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure. Therefore, this pressure must de reduced before repairing.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clips (same as original equipment) → Spare parts catalogue.
t  For fitting spring-type clips, it is advisable to use counterhold -T20174- or pliers -T20029-.
t  When installing, route coolant hoses without tension and not touching other components (note marking on coolant connection and hose).
Perform cooling system leakage check with cooling system tester -SAT 1274- and the adapters -V.A.G 1274/8- and -V.A.G 1274/9-.
