Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Measuring tool -T10007-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Base -VAS 6340-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Torque wrench (5... 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor

   
t  Collecting tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
  Note
Always replace sealing joints and rings.
–  Drain coolant → Chapter.
–  Put the lock carrier plate into service position without mechanical components → Rep. gr.50.
–  Remove the Poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Remove toothed belt → Chapter.

–  Unscrew coolant pump securing bolts -1-, and carefully remove coolant pump -2-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order. The following should be taken into account:
  Note
t  Renew O-ring.
t  The brackets for the hoses and the supercharger air system tubes must be free from oil and grease for fitting.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Spare parts catalogue.
t  To ensure that the charge air hoses can be connected securely, you must spray the screws on used screw-type clips with rust remover prior to installation.
–  Clean and smooth sealing surface for O-ring as required.

–  Moisten new O-ring -3- with coolant.
–  Insert coolant pump -2- into cylinder block and tighten securing bolts -1-.
  Note
The coolant pump plug faces downwards.
–  Install notched belt (adjusting valve timing) → Chapter.
–  Install vibration damper → Chapter.
–  Install poly V-belt → Chapter.
–  Install the lock carrier with attachments → Rep. gr.50.

–  The torque reaction support must set itself on its rubber stop by means of its self weight, then tighten the nuts -arrows-.
–  Install bumper cover (front) → Rep. gr.63.
–  Fill up coolant → Chapter.
