  Caution
When installing a new partial engine, the clamping pieces of the injector must be tightened to the specified tightening torque following installation of the high pressure lines → Chapter. The clamping pieces are supplied tightened »hand tight« so that the position of the injectors can be adjusted during the installation of the high pressure lines. Non-observance of these details may lead to damage to the engine.
   
1 - High-pressure reservoir (rail element)
q   With injection lines
q   Do not attempt to bend injector pipes to a different shape.
2 - 22 Nm
3 - Injector (Piezo injectors)
q   Removing and installing → Chapter.
4 - 5 Nm
5 - Retaining clip
6 - Cylinder head cover
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
7 - 10 Nm
8 - Fuel pipes
9 - Seal
q   Replace in case of damages and leakages
10 - 10 Nm
q   Release in the specified sequence → Fig.
q   Observe tightening sequence → Fig..
11 - Sealing cap
12 - Bush
q   For fixing the high-pressure reservoir (rail)
q   Replace if damaged

   
Release in the specified sequence
1.  Loosen bolts in the sequence -7 ... 1-.

2.  Fit bolts in the sequence -1 to 7- and hand-tighten in several stages.
3.  Tighten bolts in the sequence -1 to 7- to 10 Nm using torque wrench.
  Note
Take care to keep cylinder head cover straight.
