–
| For this purpose, unplug the following electric connectors. |
1 - | Fuel pressure sender -G247- |
2 - | Fuel pressure regulating valve -N276- |
Caution t
| Mark allocation of high-pressure pipe to cylinder. They must always be re-installed on the same cylinders. |
t
| Observe rules for cleanliness when working on the injection system. |
t
| Plug open connections with suitable sealing caps immediately. |
|
–
| Unscrew the union nuts for high-pressure pipes on injectors using socket -T40055-, SW17 mm. |
–
| Loosen union nuts for high-pressure pipes at rail element using tool insert, AF 17 -V.A.G 1331/6-. |
–
| After removal, lay high-pressure lines on a clean cloth. |
–
| Unscrew the two bolts and remove rail element. |
Carry out the assembly operations in reverse order to those described for the disassembly, taking the following into account: |
–
| Install high-pressure pipes free of stress. |
Note t
| Observe cylinder specific markings when reusing high-pressure lines. |
t
| The high-pressure lines can principally be reuse according to the following test: |
t
| Check taper seat of respective high-pressure line for deformation and cracks. |
t
| The line hole must not be deformed, constricted or damaged. |
t
| Corroded lines should no longer be used. |
