The third tooth -arrow- and the TDC mark of the oil pump should line up the right of the lowered tooth -A- of the timing belt wheel. |
Note This adjustment establishes the assembly position of the crankshaft in order to house the oil pump. One of the crankshaft cam rods is up. |

| Remove the principal timing belt tension roller. |

| Remove the timing belt cogwheel from the crankshaft. |

| Using a flat scraper, remove sealant residue from the cylinder block. |

| Clean sealing surfaces: these must be free of oil and grease. |
