Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Extractor -T20178-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Push rod -U-40002-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Wrench -U-40090-
t  Kit -U-40100B-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Remove the valve side sealing flange → Chapter.
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
–  Remove sprocket for oil pump → Item, chain tensioner → Item and chain. → Item
   
–  Remove the crankshaft sprocket with the extractor/puller -T20178- and set -U-40100B- with adapter -U-40100/PP-; to protect the crankshaft journal use the key -U-40090-. Attach adapter -U-40100/8- as shown in illustration for safety and to achieve a compact unit.
Installing
Fit in reverse order from removal, remembering the following:
  WARNING
Use protective gloves!
–  Heat the chain sprocket in the oven for about 15 minutes at 220 ºC.
l  Installation location: The wide edge of the sprocket points to the engine.

–  Fit chain sprocket on crankshaft axle using pliers.
–  Fit chain sprocket on end of crankshaft using pliers and slide with sleeves -U-40002- until fully seated on the crankshaft.
