Remove
–  Remove the Poly-V belt → Chapter.
–  Remove the toothed belt → Chapter. ZRemoving, fitting and tightening the toothed belt.
   
–  Set the crankshaft at TDC cyl. 1:
The shortened tooth of the toothed belt pinion should coincide with the mark on the oil pump -arrow-.

–  Turn the crankshaft or the toothed belt pinion three teeth counter clockwise from TDC: The third tooth to the right of the shortened tooth -A- must coincide with the TDC mark on the oil pump housing -arrow-.
  Note!
This setting establishes the crankshaft fitting position for fitting the oil pump. One of the crankshaft drive cams is up.
–  Remove the toothed belt from the crankshaft and the toothed belt tensioning roller. To do so immobilise the pinion with countersupport -T20018A-.
–  Remove the oil sump → Chapter.
–  Remove the intake line → Item.
–  Remove the fuel pump.
  Note!
On vehicles with air conditioning, if necessary, partially remove the vane pump-compressor-alternator support.
–  Remove the gasket.
–  Eliminate the sealant residues from the engine block with a flat scraper.
–  Clean the sealing surfaces of all oil and grease.
