| The cooling system is under pressure when the engine is hot. Therefore the pressure must be reduced before repair. |

| The flexible hose joints are secured with strip clamps. In case of repair, only strip clamps must be used. |

| pliers -T20029- are recommended for fitting the strip clamps. |
| t
| The flexible coolant hoses should be fitted without being tense and without coming into contact with other components during the procedure. |

| Carry out the cooling system test for watertightness with the -V.A.G. 1274- and the adapter -V.A.G. 1274/3-. |
