| Crash fuel shut off: functioning |
| Vehicles with an airbag are fitted with a crash fuel shut-off. The aim of this system is to reduce the risk of fire in the vehicle in case of collision, by disconnecting the fuel pump by means of the Fuel pump relay -J17-. |
| At the same time, this system provides better starting performance. |
| When the door is opened, the fuel pump is activated for 2 seconds in order to build up pressure in the fuel system. |
