Removing and installing parts of cooling system
  WARNING
When doing any repair work, especially in the engine compartment, pay attention to the following due to the cramped conditions:
Route all the various lines (e.g. for fuel, hydraulics, active carbon filter system, coolant, refrigerant, brake fluid and vacuum pipes and hoses) and electrical wiring so that the original positions are restored.
Ensure that there is sufficient clearance to all moving or hot components.
  Note
t  When the engine is hot the cooling system is under pressure. If necessary, relieve pressure before commencing repair work.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clips (same as original equipment) → Parts catalogue.
t  For fitting spring-type clips, it is advisable to use pliers -T20174- or pliers -SAT 1105-.
t  When installing, route coolant hoses without tension and not touching other components (note marking on coolant connection and hose).
Perform cooling system leakage check with tester -SAT 1274- and adaptor -VAG 1274/8-. and adaptor -VAG 1274/9-.
t  Bodywork side cooling system components → Chapter.

t  To empty and fill the coolant → Chapter.
