Removing and installing radiator

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Refractometer -T10007-

t	Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331/-

t	Hose clip pliers -VAS 6340-

Removing –  Remove noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.50. –  Place drip tray for workshop crane -VAS 6208- beneath engine.

–  Disconnect coolant hose -1- from radiator (right) and drain off coolant. –  Remove air filter housing → Chapter.

–  Pull off coolant hose -arrow- from radiator (left) and allow coolant to drain. –  Remove cowling together with fans → Chapter.

–  Unscrew air duct on lock carrier -arrows-.

–  Remove bolts -1 and 2-.

–  Undo side securing bolt on left at top -arrow-.   Note Pull radiator away from coolant pipe bracket when unscrewing securing bolt. –  Remove radiator upwards. Installing Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, note the following: –  Replenish coolant → Chapter.
