Turbocharger pressure capsule: check Removing and installing vacuum unit for turbocharger → Chapter. Adjust vacuum unit for turbocharger → Chapter. Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213-, see equivalent → Anchor Test prerequisites t  The turbocharger hose, through the supercharger pressure limiter solenoid valve -N75-, to the pressure capsule requires open passage and must be watertight. t  Solenoid valve for supercharger pressure limiter -N75- OK: Operation process –  Remove air cleaner housing → Chapter.

–  Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the heat protection plate for the turbocharger.

–  Disconnect vacuum hose -arrow- at vacuum unit on turbocharger and attach hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- instead.

–  Move the ring -1- of the manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213- to position -B- for „pressure“. –  Operate the hand vacuum pump -VAS 6213- several times.   Caution There is a risk of damage to the pressure capsule due to excess pressure. Pressure must not exceed 800 Millibar!   Note

The figure shows the assembly position with the turbocharger dismounted. –  Observe operating rod -1- of vacuum unit for turbocharger. l  The operating rod should move at a pressure of approx. 300 mbar and above. l  The operating rod should be at its end position at a pressure of approx. 800 mbar.

–  Ventilate the manual vacuum pump -VAS 6213--arrow A-. l  The control rod should move in the opposite direction.   Note Observe the movement of the control rod, in particular the adjustment margin. It should move continuously and evenly. Assembling Install in the reverse order to removal. Tightening torques → Chapter Tightening torque of the heat protection plate for the exhaust gas turbocharger: 10 Nm –  Install air cleaner housing → Chapter.
