Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Pliers for spring-loaded band-type clamps -VAS 6499-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
  Note
Place a cloth under coolant pipe to catch escaping coolant.
–  Unscrew bolts -1- and -2- and swivel coolant pipe (front) upwards.
–  Clamp off coolant hoses -arrows- with hose clamps -3094- and detach.
Installing
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence; note the following:

Secure hose unions with hose clamps the same as those of the series → Electronic parts catalogue.
–  Check coolant level → Anchor.
