1 - Upper protection element for the notched belt
2 - Principal notched belt:
q   Mark direction of rotation before removing
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
q   Notched belt routing → Fig.
q   removing, installing and tensioning → Chapter
3 - Notched belt secondary branch
q   Mark direction of rotation before removing
q   Check for wear
q   Do not kink
q   removing, installing and tensioning → Chapter
4 - 10 Nm
5 - Camshaft housing cover
6 - 10 Nm
7 - Cable guide
q   Tighten the camshaft housing to a torque of 8 Nm
8 - Head bolts, 6 Nm
q   For other versions
9 - Pipe for coolant
10 - Hall sender -G40-
11 - O-ring
q   Replace.
12 - Bracket
13 - Roller rocker arms
q   Check that the roller bearings turn smoothly
q   Oil contact surface
q   ?When installing, secure to support element using securing clip.
14 - Attachment rings
15 - 20 Nm
16 - Pins
17 - Supporting element
q   Do not mix them up
q   With hydraulic valve clearance compensation.
q   Oil contact surface
q   Before installing, check camshaft axial clearance → Fig.
18 - Cylinder head bolt
q   Replace.
q   Follow installation instructions and sequence when loosening and tightening → Chapter
19 - Oil pressure switch -F1-, 25 Nm
q   check → Chapter
q   In case of leakage, cut out and replace sealing ring
20 - Cylinder head gasket
q   Replace.
q   Metal gasket
q   Renew coolant after replacing cylinder head gasket
21 - Cylinder head
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Check for deformations → Fig.
q   The sealing surfaces in contact with the camshaft housing must be free of oil and grease
q   Renew coolant after replacing cylinder head gasket
22 - Tension roller of the derived branch of the notched belt.
q   check → Chapter
q   Tension the notched belt. → Chapter
23 - 20 Nm
24 - Rear notched belt guard
25 - Camshaft housing
q   removing and installing → Chapter
q   Remove any sealant remains.
q   Carefully clean the contact surfaces making sure that they are free of oil and grease
q   Before fitting, apply sealant -D 188 003 A1-.
q   When installing fit vertically from above onto studs and dowel pins
26 - 10 Nm + retighten 1/4 turn (90º)
q   Replace.
q   Tighten from centre outwards

   
Check that the cylinder head is not deformed
Maximum permissible deformation: 0.05 mm
