  Note
t  For clarity, the process is described with the engine removed.
t  The sequence of instructions is identical with the engine mounted and the gearbox removed.
–  Remove flywheel → Chapter.
–  Position crankshaft at TDC cylinder. 1:
   
The notched tooth of the notched belt wheel should line up with the mark on the oil pump -arrow-.
  Note
Do not confuse the marks on the seal retainer/oil pump. The notched tooth should line up with the mark coded with 4V.
–  Remove sump → Chapter.

–  Remove engine speed sender -arrow-.
–  Unscrew the attachment bolts from the sealing flange.
  Note
The sealing flange and the sender crown are removed together from the crankshaft using three M6×35 mm bolts.

–  Screw three bolts M6 x 35 mm into the threaded holes of the sealing flange-arrows-.
–  Screw the screws into the sealing flange in diagonal pairs (max. 1/2 rotations (180°) per screw) and press the flange away from the crankshaft together with the wheel sender.
