t  Universal dial gauge support -VW 387-, see equivalent → Anchor

t  Gauge -VAS 6079-, see equivalent → Anchor
Operation process
  W00-1261
–  Bolt the gauge -VAS 6079- with universal dial gauge support -VW 387- to the engine block and apply it against the side of the crankshaft.
–  Push crankshaft against dial gauge by hand and set gauge to „0“.
–  Push crankshaft away from dial gauge and read off value.
Axial clearance:
l  New: 0.07 ... 0.23 mm.
l  Wear limit: 0.30 mm.
